Bob founded Concrete in 1994 as a way of combining his years of experience in marketing and branding with his own artistic streak, having graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Harvard College.

His career has been one immersed in branding, fashion and retail right from the start: eight years a Creative Director at the Limited, Inc. mentored by Les Wexner led to his move to Ann Taylor as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Creative Director.  There, he conceptualized and implemented the company’s overall brand image.

Bob has worked with some of the industry’s brightest names and biggest brands, but today he enjoys the familial environment at concrete and the up-close, hands on contributions he’s able to make.  “I knew all those years what
I needed  and wanted from an outside agency, and now I’ve built it in Concrete.”


Vice President of Design

 Fresh, bold, innovative

Carlos came to New York from his native Dominican Republic to complete his graphic design degree at Parsons School of Design, following his education at the Altos de Chavon School of Design.  Typography and corporate identity systems have always fascinated him, and are now two of his numerous strengths.

 Carlos has won several design awards in the U.S. and abroad, and returns regularly to the Dominical Republic as a design workshop guest lecturer at his former school.
